Alp de Veenen Boutique Hotel in Amstelveen

We stayed in the hotel 4 nights and ate in the restaurant 3 nights. The food was fresh, nicely presented, beautifully cooked, and reasonably priced.

My chicken satay was a good-sized portion, served with perfect chips (not French fries) and a bowl of mixed salad. My husband’s beefburger was almost too big but he smiled as he finished it! 🙂👌

Our second night’s meal was a ‘special’ of braised beef with baked potato and lightly sautéed vegetables. It was mouth-wateringly good: so tender, so tasty.  

Our third meals were equally delicious – salmon for my husband, and a ‘chicken plate’ for me (a moderately-spiced huge piece of chicken breast served with a perfect salad and fries. I do not normally take photos of food to post on media, but we have been so impressed by the food created by Roy (the chef) that I wanted to share it. Unfortunately I can not add a photo to this review 😕.
For 6 meals – 3 with a large beer and 3 with small diet coke, the total bill was €141 (paid at
the end of our stay) – very reasonable.

The hotel does not actively promote the restaurant to ‘outsiders’ but they would welcome any non-residents.

Thank you to all the kitchen staff – Roy, and the efficient (despite being overly busy) lady who personally served everyone their breakfast.

The room was basic but did what we needed: gave us a bed with en suite shower and toilet. Room was dark enough despite the sunshine outside. The stairs to the third floor were a little steep, but for us it was not a problem.

We had a lovely time here and would recommend it to others 😊.
